Sad goodbyes in Ruma. Credit card declined at petrol station. Drove through Novi Sad towards Belgrade. Steve unwell (man flu probably!)

Had a wander into Ruma before helping out at shop again (quieter today). Lunch at 4:30 before party with 11 kids! Chaos, but wonderful!

2nd hand shop very busy, but our lack of Serbian language a bit of a barrier. Sandwich and chilled afternoon. Eldina got engaged!

Early wake up, then burek for breakfast. Sorted clothes for temp 2nd hand shop. Tea at Emina + Dusan's then Alpha course in evening

Met Drago i Jaroslava. Had lovely lunch before meeting kids, then helping to put up posters in Ruma. 1st night of trip not spent in Bertha

Woke up in a hotel car park (we were allowed to stay there!), called our Serbian hosts, then hit the road

Confusing toll gates and quite boring motorway (very flat), but loads of cool birds of prey and weird markers in fields

Foggy start. Did basics (electricity, toilet, camping shower). Hit motorway... which came to an abrupt end!

Lovely morning in swimming pools and sauna. Wander through deserted Ptuj in afternoon, then ćevapčići, Laško, crib and Skype in evening

Gave design advice to Zves team, were fed a hearty Slovenian lunch, filled up LPG for the 1st time on mainland Europe, then headed to Ptuj!
