Highest altitude of the trip so far; still no smoke! Mountains and tunnels galore as we headed towards the beautiful town of Schwaz

Chilly morning, but one of the best washing up views ever. Lots of goats with bells around necks, and a lot more urban than expected

Border crossing was a bridge over river! Massive mountains. Lovely Skype with parents. Adjusting back to continuing with the trip

Expecting to go home. Problem diagnosed as clogged air filter. Replaced. Bertha purring. No smoke. Jubilation! We're on our way again

Topped up engine oil. Conquered BrĂ¼nig Pass. Saw smoke. Lots of blue smoke. Broke down. Talk of scrapping. Scary. Disaster. Night at depot
Walked into Interlaken, accompanied by cowbells and explored a bit. Had a coffee then a lovely chilled evening on the campsite

After noisy night in Payerne, visited great church in Grandcour. Invited for lovely lunch afterwards, then treated ourselves to campsite

After rainy night, stunning day at Lake Geneva amongst autumnal vineyards. Worrying Bertha smells going uphill. Munched on Swiss choc

Lovely, friendly Swiss border guards. Spectacular mountain views, but rather confusing road markings on the way to Eschallens

Very uphill and very beautiful. Big argument about approach to planning...resolved. Ate Kiri cheese, baguette and olives.
