Vignette / toll requirements:

An electronic vignette is required for the majority of motorways - buy it at the border, or the first petrol station you come to

Vehicle laws icon

Vehicle laws:

Speed limits are 130 kph on motorways, 110 kph on major roads, 90 kph on main roads and 50 kph in built-up areas

Dipped headlights during the day are compulsory outside of built up areas. Full beam lights are prohibited at all times in built up areas

First-aid kit, warning triangle and reflective jackets are compulsory

When there's congestion, vehicles in the left hand lane must move as far over to the left as possible and users on the right hand side must move as far over to the right as possible to create a corridor for emergency vehicles.

Expect to pay in cash at petrol stations
